Where Is The Molonglo Electorate?

Molonglo is the largest of the ACT's three electorates; it elects seven members to the Legislative Assembly.

You may be living in Molonglo if your house is near Gungahlin, Civic, Dickson, Manuka, Kingston, Woden or Weston Creek

The Molonglo electorate contains the suburbs associated with the inner north, the inner south, Woden, Weston Creek, and Gungahlin. Exceptions are the suburbs of Torrens, Chifley and Pearce, which are part of the Brindabella electorate, and Nicholls, which is part of Ginninderra.

If you want to know more about which electorate you are in, you might want to check out this handy list published by the ACT Electoral Commission.

If you are an elector in the Molonglo district, look for me on your ballot cards on October 18. I will appear in the "ungrouped" column.

Greg Tannahill For Canberra

It's time for a better Canberra.

My name is Greg Tannahill, and I am running for office at the October 18 Australian Capital Territory election. I am running as a member of the ACT Democrats in the electorate of Molonglo, and I will appear in the "ungrouped" column on ballot papers.

I know that Canberra is in the grip of a housing crisis, and if elected I would take steps to ease the pressure on medium-to-low income renters by increasing the quality, quantity and accessibility of public housing and by promoting a fair, affordable and demographically appropriate rental market.

I am committed to excellence in public education. The quality of our public schooling shows the quality of our community. I believe it is important for families to have access to a range of attractive schooling options, and that it is critical for our public schools to compete aggressively in that market.

I am a dedicated supporter of comprehensive Government funded public transport. I believe that the only way to grow public transport usage is to grow public transport infrastructure, and a strong community depends on fast, reliable public transport.

I look forward to your support and your votes to make Canberra the world-class city that we deserve.
